It is an initiative presented by a group of Palestinian women from inside and outside Gaza, given the increasing burden placed on women in war conditions. This women’s group works to mobilize financial support and organize feminist competencies to serve women in areas of displacement.
The initiative aims to establish safe facilities, specifically the Women’s Care Unit, that offer comprehensive basic gynaecological services to women and girls in densely populated areas. The primary goal of the Women’s Care Unit is to create supportive spaces that address the physical, emotional, and reproductive health needs of displaced women and children. This involves delivering maternal care, distributing essential health products, offering health guidance, and cultivating an environment that enhances the resilience of women, thereby contributing to the overall resilience of the community. The initiative is centred on providing a holistic approach to women’s health and well-being in challenging settings and displacement conditions.
