The Carmel Cultural Association, established in Nuseirat camp in 1993 and officially licensed as a non-profit civil institution by the Ministry of Culture in 1995, stands as a dedicated entity for the preservation of Palestinian cultural identity. The association was founded by a group of conscious young individuals and intellectuals united by the shared goal of advancing the National Cultural Program. Their mission is to carry the message of culture forward for future generations, recognizing the pivotal role culture plays in shaping social and economic spheres of life. They are aware of the profound impact it has on human development, aiming to propel society towards progress and prosperity.
The association operates with the understanding that building a democratic society is crucial for assuming responsibility for future generations and fostering a positive environment for constructive interaction and self-expression. Through its cultural programs, the Carmel Cultural Association seeks to create a platform for meaningful dialogue, collective expression, and continued enrichment of Palestinian cultural heritage.
